Swink Style Bar

My daughter chose Swink for hair and makeup for her wedding. She was getting makeup only and the mothers and sisters (no wedding party) were all to get hair and makeup. One person was told two weeks before the wedding that her makeup could not be done because of time and staffing even though it was booked for months. She had to walk to Sephora after her hair was done. No one got the hair they wanted - one even had to purchase a curling iron, because we were all from out of town, to go back to her hotel and curl it so it would hold. My hair was only a blow-out but it was flat and did not have any 'blowout' body and I left feeling that I could have done much better on my own. The makeup was better but no prepping the skin made mine sink into my wrinkles within about an hour. We were supposed have a champagne toast and that did not happen. My bridal party and I got our hair & makeup done at Swink and loved our experience! The bridal coordinator Amy was very easy to work with, and helped navigate the changing covid restrictions with me. My trial was beautiful, and the hair stylist took my notes well to make my day of hair and makeup perfect. I'm especially impressed since I hardly ever wear makeup or do my hair and was expecting to feel really dolled up and not know how to ask for what I wanted, but everything felt natural and came out as I wanted. Absolutely Terrible Service. I was scheduled for a blow out and a style. My appointment was done in less than 30 minutes. My hair was blow dried quickly with a few curls thrown in. Additionally, the stylist was extremely unpleasant and the manager had a client in the chair next to mine and should have been aware enough to see this behavior but said nothing. I tried explaining to the receptionist that I was not happy with my services-but she didn't seem to care. Absolute waste of time and money. I will not be recommending any of their services.
