Salon J'Lynae

I never had problems in this salon until the last time. I had like 5 inches of new hair and wanted to get it straight, so I paid for a virgin relaxer which was $150, and gave $30 tip, but she only relaxed one inch of my hair. I don't think is fair. When I washed my hair I realized about the issue and was not happy. If a stylist is not going to do what you need and payed for (it doesn't matter the reason) she should tell you first why she is not going to do it and you can decide if you move on or not. I wanted to make that decision. And the fact that she charged me for a virgin relaxer instead of root touch up is unacceptable.

First appointment was for a relaxer with Jonesia, in which I noticed she did not part my hair or smooth it out. She applied the relaxer within 5 min ( plus I have very thick hair), so the service felt very rushed. When I asked the owner why she applied the relaxer in that way, she stated every stylist is different & that it doesn’t have to be bone straight. Me personally, I like for my hair to be straight, edges laid whenever I receive a perm but overall it came out okay once she was done blow drying & straightening. I decided to come back a 2nd time for weave services with Jonesia. I received a natural sew in with side part, using the hair she provided. The sew in was was not laid smoothly, it was bulky at the top, with too much leave out hair on one side, and on the other side it was too little leave out. The weave she used was poor quality, very frizzy and shedding. I was very disappointed with the hairstyle and ultimately felt that I wasted money here. The shop was clean and cu

I must say my experience with Salon J’Lynae has been very pleasant for the past 8 years, very comfortable environment. Jonesia shares her knowledge about taking care of your hair.
