I needed a new nail salon because I live far from my usual place. Ya know how unease it can be trying a new place, hoping it goes well. I must say I found me a Jewel little spot near my house I did not have an appointment but I did call first thing in the morning and sure enough I was welcomed to come in. Soon as I got there and saw the place for myself besides google pics it’s so girlyyyy. I love the big size princess seats. The ladies were very attentive. My pedicure was super pleasant, and my nails were glammed with SNS powder in a timely fashion. I would like to thank Mazzie once’s again I’m so happy to have found this Lill Jewel ???? I transferred from Long Island to Queens and was looking for a new spot for my nails. I saw this and looked at pics, looks clean and customers seem happy. I booked my appointment. When I arrived, the place is small (which is fine). They attended to me right away which is good. However, I don’t see them practicing covid restrictions well despite that they were approved to operate during covid (there’s a certificate on their wall). They don’t wipe the chairs after customers sat there, they don’t wear gloves the whole time when servicing you, when I sat on the manicure area, the scent of the fumes are just so strong. I looked where it was coming from and saw that formulas were just beside me. The 2 ladies working there are nice. However, they are talking the whole time I was there. I don’t really mind them talking but for others, it shows lack of professionalism specially when they are talking on their phones with somebody. I would understand if their service is cheaper. I am a surgeon at Jamaica Hospital and Hospital for Special Surgery, the establishment was recommended by many co-workers. I have been going to see Aura for a few months and my nails and feet have never looked better! The location is convenient to the E train and there is a Starbucks close-by. The salon is extremely well decorated, organized and spotlessly clean. Aura does an excellent job shaping my nails and my organic powder dips last weeks (I wash my hands constantly for OR preps). The prices are very reasonable given the level of professionalism and talent, the outcome is a set of envious hands. Over the holidays I went to Central America and my nails lasted a month! The pedicures are spectacular. Aura is very thorough and is constantly asking for feedback. I have had no issues communicating my with her and I practice my Spanish with her.
