The Looks Salon & Spa was amazing! I’m not from Maryland but I came with my beautiful girlfriend to her latest curly-cut appointment and it was nothing short of amazing. From the generous staff giving me complimentary snacks and drinks to the stylist who was cutting my girlfriend’s hair, everything was nice. The decor was easy on the eye and properly suited the establishment as it was extremely professional and one could easily tell that the salon was established upon the principles of kindness and elegance. Love, love, love my hair! Flora is magical! So worth the few weeks I had to wait to get in with her - what a treasure! Flora knows exactly how to achieve a bright and fun blonde. She is so lovely, I enjoyed the time I spent with her and I’m already looking forward to my next appointment!

I've been learning how to take care of my curly hair and playing with novelty/fashion colors for the past 5 years. I've been to several different stylists between New York and DC during that time. And I have to say that Alysa Vega here at Looks is among the best I've ever gone to. I totally get why her appointments book out so far in advance; she should be highly sought after for her incredible skill set and fun personality. For a stylist so young, her skills and breadth of knowledge are really impressive. I've never had a stylist explain to me in such detail the "why" of the haircut, color, and styling process the way Alysa did. I heard other stylists asking for her opinions as well and she always knew the answers off the top of her head. Not only is she incredibly good at what she does, but she seems to genuinely have fun with it and no challenge is too big- not the length of my hair or the specific shade of purple I was aiming for!
