I never write reviews for anything, but this experience made me so upset I think it’s necessary. I left the salon in tears by how poorly I was treated. First, my stylist stopped doing my hair, halfway through, to do another clients hair. I didn’t have a problem with this at first, but the other clients hair took over an hour to do. Meanwhile, my hair only needed 15 minutes to finish. When it was my turn to get in the chair, my stylist didn’t even say my name. She just shooed me over using a hand gesture which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. After my stylist finished my hair, she threw a comb on the table, which then hit my foot, and I received no apology for that either. The whole time I waited patiently while experiencing so much anxiety because no one was making me feel better about the situation. When I left, no one said anything to me either after I thanked them for their service. Extremely inconsiderate. I will never be returning.

I'm so glad I didn't listen to the reviews describing their negative experiences when I researched this place some time ago. . I've become a repeat customer and thoroughly enjoy ALL of my services. My closure is LAID. My color palette is perfect and customized and my spa services are superb! (v-facials, color, and tape-ins) The staff is passionate about the customer's experience and I really appreciate how genuine the owner and her team is about people. I'm leaving Studio Chique again looking and feeling fabulous. I love supporting black businesses and these beautiful women are everything. It's a one-stop shop !! Thank you ladies again. I got a massage a few weeks ago from Studio Chique and it took me a while to figure out if I wanted to leave a review or not. I’ll be honest and say I was put off by the masseuse, Marsha. I was on my cycle during the time, and I researched beforehand to see if in D.C. there are any rules or regulations going against getting a massage during a woman’s cycle and found nothing going against it. I know many women who choose to get a massage during their menstrual cycles and how relieving and therapeutic that could be. Marsha told me before the massage that it was unlawful to give a woman a massage during her cycle and she called it unsanitary. Now I just observed her and her comments. I did find it offensive and as I stated, I didn’t find anything that said it was unlawful. I just left it alone. She gave me a massage, but honestly after the comment I was not able to relax and she wasn’t very helpful. The massage did nothing for me and instead of getting the 60 minutes I originally booked,
