I had an appointment this morning with Myia. I showed up to the salon and overheard her talking to another stylist about scheduling issues, before I got to the chair. I have been getting my hair highlighted for 25 years, never has this happened to me. I get in the chair and she asks what I want. I said full highlights with gradually adding in the grey in the future and a haircut. She said let me get you a quote. $250 and I said fine. She said, because of time I can only do a partial highlight, fine. She decides to strand test, leaves it on ten minutes and says your hair is not pulling except in the ends and root. Full processing depending on the product, 25-45 minutes. The only thing I can do is cut your hair, you will have to let the box dye grow out. At this point, I was humiliated. I have used box dye every winter to go dark for 25 years. Never have I had this issue or anyone say anything like this to me. I was thinking, so only virgin or professionally colored hair can be done? She

Appointment was made several days ago for hair coloring. Phone call confirmation made, appointment set at a specific time. Set the day aside for it. Received a call that morning that my appointment was an hour behind- a half hour before I planned to arrive. I adjust my schedule and arrive at the new time. I arrive before the new time and the appointment gets pushed back another 30 minutes. Wait 30 minutes more- appointment does not start on time-and I'm still left waiting without a start time. Given it's been a hour and a half of waiting around, and it's time to call it quits. The salon refunded the deposit and the appointment was canceled. Time is valuable.

I have waited a few weeks to write this, but now I have to say it. My experience was awful. I walked out feeling ok, complimented my person because at that moment it felt alright (and being the last appointment I know they want to get out of there) but the minute I got in the car, I noticed my hair had been completely hacked. I asked her to not cut any length off. She took off almost two inches. I asked for my layers to be cleaned up and this is the choppiest haircut I have ever had. I have tried to make peace with it since that day, and everyday is a horrible hair day for me. My stylist was pleasant but by no means "friendly". It was awkward. I even informed them before I came in that I have long hair and wanted someone to understand that. I will never come back again, and it is a shame because the salon itself is very clean and nice, but a stylist should listen, whether you are first appointment or last. Service: Haircut
