E'volve Salon

I got my hair done about two weeks ago, and I needed to share my experience. I was gifted a Full Highlights Groupon with Kelsie. Kelsie was super sweet, but BARELY ANYONE wore a mask! She wore a mask but the other hair stylist in the saloon had the mask under her chin... There were also four other clients in the salon with me during my hair appointment and only 1/4 of them wore a mask... MASKS ARE MANDATED IN VIRGINIA!!! (As of December 14, Executive Order 72 requires that all Virginians aged 5 and older wear masks in indoor settings shared with others, excluding people who live in the same household, and when outdoors within 6 feet of another person who is not a family member.) I didn’t feel safe in this environment, and her daughter also didn’t wear a mask which I personally felt was a little irresponsible. I was also charged $40 extra for the length of my hair and toner on top of the Groupon... I liked my haircut, and the color looked good, but the process to get there wasn’t ideal.

My very dear friend was stood up 5 times at this salon by a stylist named Kelsey, Which made me never want to visit this place! On 2 separate occasions she went there to get her hair done and Kelsey never showed up, Kelsey apologized and even offered to pick her up for her rescheduled appointment...of course she never showed! After being stood up countless times my friend calls Kelsey to get an explanation and Kelsey gets very vulgar and uses foul language with my friend! So now this has turned into a civil case because my friend had a $100 gift card in which they are now telling her that she can no longer use! Kelsey seems to have multiple bad reviews on the salons FB page as well! It's very unfortunate that a salon would keep someone who is completely unprofessional and tarnishes the companies name! Hopefully in the future this will be resolved but just from what my friend went through I would not visit this shop myself or recommend anyone else here!

I cannot tell you how amazing Kelsey is. Salon evolve is a nice warm and friendly place where everybody is kind and I HAVE NEVER HAD MY HAIR LOOK BETTER. Kelsey is highly skilled and EXTREMELY knowledgeable (I have very difficult hair????)- she has changed MY LIFE when it comes to my hair!!!!❤️❤️❤️
