Went here to get my hair cut, dyed and deep conditioned. Vi is very friendly, and know just how and what to do with my hair type and style. Sometimes I came without appointment but Vi would just let me wait and did my hair in between her busy appointments. Definitely recommend this place, she doesn’t just decide whatever but patiently show colors and offers opinion of what looked good on me :).

I have been going to Vivi Salon for the last 14 years. I moved from Fairfax about 8 years ago but still only trust Vivi with my hair. She is always supportive and listens with care to your concerns and gives the most practical advice to do the right thing. She is never after money and only focusses on doing her best job for the customers. And she has never disappointed me or anyone in my family who also drives to Fairfax to get her services. I will highly recommend Vivi to anyone.

This is my first haircut at this hair salon. I usually don’t bother with reviews but the owner of this hair salon made me feel terrible about my natural hair. Here are a few reasons I’m giving this place a low rating: 1. The actual prices do not match the prices on the website 2. I have curly/wavy hair. Although my last haircut was uneven (done elsewhere), I’ve gotten good haircuts in the past without straightening my hair. She said that the haircut won’t be good without straightening my hair first so I let her do it and got charged extra. She didn’t use any heat protectant and the hair straightener was on high heat that I could see the smoke while she was straightening my hair and could even smell it, which really made me worry about my hair getting damaged 3. I mentioned that I don’t like to straighten my hair and I provided reasons after she asked me why. One of my reasons is that I don’t want to damage my hair with heat.
