I’ve gone here for years and typically have no issues with their service or quality of work. The experience I had today has solidified that I will never come back. I wanted to get knotless braids with human hair, since I typically itch with the synthetic hair. I had inquired to see if they could use human hair and was told I would have to buy the hair separately. When I came to get my hair done, I was told that they could not do the knotless braids with the human hair. I explained that the reason I had asked was due to my reaction to the synthetic hair. I was told they could do micro braids or box braids, and I opted for the box braids. The ladies that were braiding my hair kept saying that the hair was not good quality. I asked if it was going to last and look decent, and I was told yes. To make matters worse, they repeatedly kept talking about the situation with the hair I bought. I have gone to Lydia’s in the past numerous times and have been really pleased with the out come..I can’t wait to come back soon for my new braids!!

LONG STORY SHORT DONT LET THEM TAKE OUT YOUR BRAIDS, THEY’RE TOO SCISSOR HAPPY I got waist length knotless boho braids taken out 9.2.23 Take down was $100, no problem. It took them over 3hrs to take down so cool, good for them. What wasn’t cool was getting home after a long day of errands and washing my hair to find they cut off about 3 and a half inches of my hair.The picture below was my hair about a month ago. Now it’s barely past my shoulder blades and super uneven in its natural state in the back. It looks like I have a F’ing bob when it’s curly. Personally I wouldn’t let them even breathe in my direction if I were a prospective client reading reviews before booking. And it had to be malicious because i specifically told them my hair is long make sure you don’t accidentally cut it. Multiple times mind you, to which one lady responded with an attitude trying to hush me up saying “ok ok ok, I get it. I can see where your hair is” I brushed the attitude off at the time, I understand
