The best gel manicure I’ve ever had! An was friendly, very detailed oriented which I appreciate, did a wonderful job, and my nails look great. He gave a really relaxing massage which some other salons have a super light touch. Also love that the salon uses UV blocking gloves!

The massage chairs and atmosphere make for a relaxing appointment. The regular pedicure was great, as expected and lasted over three weeks. Unfortunately, the gel manicure didn’t even last one week before starting to peel. I noticed it was because the clear top coat was on my skin on the sides of my nails. Needless to say, I was disappointed in the lack of detail and care on the manicure.

I’ve been going to Onyx for about 7 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. BB has a great small staff of talented nail artists and manicurists. If you’re going to get acrylics, I would suggest having BB do them—she is amazing and has high standards. I think that the value for money is unbeatable, especially in the Pearl district! Technicians are fast but not rushed—you can get a gel mani + spa gel pedi in under an hour. They also keep their nail color selection up to date, and always have the most current season of OPI gel colors. The atmosphere also feels like you are in an upscale spa. They keep soothing music playing, and the decor is a beautiful homage to the owners Vietnamese heritage. All in all a lovely nail salon deserving of a five star review.
