Urban Bay Salon

Can’t believe I found this amazing barbershop! When I walked in I was greeted with a complimentary shot of espresso, which is great for me because I tend to nod out during my haircuts. Aside from that, the shop was very elegant and upscale. I didn’t wait long, my haircut came out perfect and the price was completely affordable! Urban Bay Salon is my new go to place on Staten Island.

Walked in and was just looked at Then was asked to come back in a half hour, then told to wait 2 minutes by someone else. After waiting for some time I left. They really need to work on communicating to people, a little eye contact and confirmation could really go a long way.

This is a story of how I was BUTCHERED by Masha at Urban Bay Salon. Last Sunday I went in for a haircut. I had to wait 15 minutes no big deal. The salon is a half barbershop half salon. I get my hair washed everything is fine. I get in the chair and say that I want long layers. Well my fellow yelpers I did not get long layers. What I received was 2 layers, one that was shoulder length and one that was 3 inches below my shoulders. No blending nothing. And on top of it the girl was going back and forth cutting my hair and doing another girls color. Maybe she was rushing me and wasn't paying attention? Maybe she is an awful hairstylist? Maybe she needs glasses? I don't know. What I do know is that I will never go back, and will warn anyone who thinks about making a visit to urban bay salon. I have gotten a better haircut and the Paul Mitchell school on new Dorp lane! Below I have attached pictures, before I got the cut (Green shirt) from Masha, and after. BEWARE. I also plan on going back
