Timothy John's Salon NYC

This review is long overdue. I started going to TJS on a whim bc my former salon in the area was closed and I desperately needed a very last min trim for an event. TJS is open 7 days a week. The salon is chic, clean, and professional (and, quite frankly, at a more affordable price point for the area). I met Gracey and she exceeded my standards in every way. I never looked back. Gracey is attentive, listens to exactly what I think I want or what I’m “going for” in a proposed cut, explains precisely what she is doing and the rationale for it, shares thoughts personally tailored based on my face shape/features, provides top notch service, along with helpful tips on how to best care for my hair btwn appts. Despite not always keeping up with trims nor getting regular cuts, TJS always makes me feel welcomed the moment I walk in (and never passes judgment on the messy dead end hair I walk in with). So glad I found this gem.

Great neighborhood salon! I just moved into the area and was looking for a new go-to salon for my color/cut. I called the salon last minute hoping for just a haircut, but they were so accommodating and able to fit me in for both my color and cut! Once I got there I was a greeted by a very welcoming and friendly front desk who offered me tea while I waited for my stylist to finish her appointment. I was with Michal who was equally as friendly and listened to everything I had to say about what I was wanting and offered her own suggestions of what I might like. I called this salon for a day-of emergency appointment and they were able to accommodate me. I went to a different salon that completely ruined my hair. I came into Timothy John's with a messed up, choppy cut with weird, long bangs from the other salon. Griselda somehow worked magic and turned a cut that looked like a 5 year old did in the dark, to a beautiful and blended style. I thought it was past the point of being saved, but she did such an amazing job. The process was quick but not rushed, and overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you for accommodating me for a same day appointment and for SAVING my hair!
