Great hair salon and very affordable. Both Bushi and Rebecca are very skilled. I have not tried the hair coloring but it's pretty well known their hair colorists are legit. Went and again , they do such a good job giving you the cut you want. Highly recommend.

This place sucks big time. I decided to visit this place again since it was the last salon I went to before leaving NYC. I just called to let them know i was running 30 minutes late due to the weekend subways changing their routes. I was then told my appt was actually 12:30 not 1:30pm. Major fricking hiccup on their part. But they chose to focus on the fact that I'd still be a half hour late. Yeah, they have major administrative issues which ruined my whole day. Glad I left the salon then and will never go back.

I dyed my hair with Rebecca, who is rather lovely, and was pleased with the outcome. That said, I had to insist that the first attempt at pigmentation was too strong (it was a colour I had expressly said I did not want), and the assurance that it would “fade off in a month” was not good enough. (Why would one style their hair for a look that will only mature in a month?) Thankfully she quickly moved to correct it and used a special substance to wash some of it off. Bushi, the owner, holds the fort down with his charm and honesty. He said he gave me a discount for being a student, which I appreciated. The only not-so-great comment was that I was a bit put off by the energy Kyle, a fellow styler, was giving me. I hope I am misunderstanding but he seemed to be really condescending to anything I had to say or ask about the styling process of *my* hair.
