Love Salon V. You kinda can't go wrong there. There have been times when my favorite stylists have not been available and I'll see another staff member. Everyone I've seen there has had great skills and 'hair-side manner'. I always come away feeling happier and lighter. I know that's because my hair looks great, but it's also the vibe in there. Very relaxed and welcoming. The same cannot be said for other NY salons. I once went to a different super high-end salon in NYC, and literally cried because of the way the place was run. Salon V is a treat. Ellen has managed my aging hair for going on 20 years. She is just wonderful, always personal and attentive and coming up with creative solutions for problems and ways to keep things fresh. The staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful.
