There are not enough superlatives to describe the Joseph Battisti Salon. Joey and his team are world class and understand the needs of their clientele. As soon as I entered the UES location, I felt taken care of, my stress level de-escalated, I was offered beverage choices, and I felt heard when describing my hair wish list. My hair is graying, I had weird color combinations, and the cut was so out-of-date. I basically told him, "I trust you, just make me look like a better version of myself." Mission accomplished. The haircut is the best of my life and the color makes me feel beautiful. His assistant, Joon, took my request for shampooing with firm hands and hot water seriously. (Joon, I am sorry if I scalded your hands with my extreme ask:). This is a high-end salon with a high-level of attention given to the client. Joey is the best! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding recently and was nervous the hair dresser would have a hard time taming my hair. I have curly/wavy hair that always has a tendency to frizz if it’s not handled correctly. Joey knew exactly what he was doing and was so fun and professional. Not only did my hair look exactly how I wanted it to, but it also stayed all night without frizzing! Joey did an amazing job on all the bridesmaids and he wasn’t happy until EVERYONE was happy. You could tell he genuinely cared that we all felt confident and beautiful. It was definitely a little pricey but I’m so happy I bit the bullet and went with him I would do it again in a second! I was recently in my cousin’s wedding and we hired Joey for up do’s. Let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint. Joey is an artist; you can show him a picture you’d like done and he can ace it or you can trust his artist eye and let him do his thing! He is quick, yet picky and makes sure he does your hair perfectly, and he won’t be done, until you love it! You can tell he enjoys his work! He put beautiful extensions in my thin hair to make it look like a very full up do. It was perfect and just what I wanted...He is worth EVERY PENNY. You will have gorgeous bridal hair and so will your bridesmaids! He is also a fun person to have in the room, friendly and very professional. We’d hire him again without hesitation!
