Design 1 Salon Spa Gaines

Went here a few months ago, and I wanted to wait until I went to another stylist to see what she charged. I got charged $200+ for someone with very little experience to back that price. She also got dye on one of my shirts too, so I got a ruined shirt also. I literally got 2 front piece highlights, my roots, and a trim for well over $200. She also didn’t wash my hair with cold water when rinsing out the dye, which at every other salon is something I’ve had done to preserve the color. My bestfriend is also a hair stylist and said everything about my first (and now only) experience, was very poor. Also reading through comments and seeing them only reply to the good ones, is really sad customer service.

LOVEEEED my experience here at Design 1 in Gaines Township. In the past I have had some terrifying hair experiences at another salon in the area so I was nervous to go back to a salon for hair services. Over the course of 5 years I’d box dye my hair myself, all dark colors. I went to Design 1 for a consultation with Kass. I wanted to go be as close to my natural hair color as possible with some definition, but I also wanted to be realistic and not ruin my hair either. Kass and the staff were great from start to finish. Kass did an amazing job listening to my vision and giving me an action plan that best fit to achieve the results. She made me feel comfortable during the whole process and kept an open line of communication on whats being done with my hair as it went. She did such a great job I am still so surprised that my hair turned out as good as it did. Thank you Kass for giving me hair that I love!! Services: Haircut, Hairstyling, Hair highlighting

If you’re looking for a new hair stylist Alana D is the best! She always does a phenomenal job, I’ve been going to her for over a year now. She never disappoints! She is so welcoming and I enjoy getting my hair done by her. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Service: Hairstyling
