La Vie Nails

I went in for the first time for an acrylic nail removal. I was asked if I wanted to do something else or just that and I said I just wanted them removed. He let me to the spot that I was going to be in and then a lady came and sat down. This person did not even introduce themselves and looked very young. There was a time when my nail bed got overheated with the e-file and it burned. When she cut my nails I was afraid she was going to cut a part of my skin as it felt that the clippers were about to grab the finger along with the nail. She filed with the e-file and then soaked my nails with acetone for a little bit but removed it and there was still acrylic on she continued to use the e-file until it was fully removed with it. I was asked if I wanted my nails rounder square and I said around but even at the end they weren't around they looked missshaped. The nail bed on all of my nails have ridges from the e-file. I want to start off with saying that I tried to convince myself the entire service that I did not need to write a negative review, however after leaving I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I had a 6 p.m appointment for a gel pedicure but my service was not started for 30 minutes. My feet were in the soaking tub so long that the water got cold. I only received a gel pedicure and I did not leave until 7:55. There is no reason a gel pedicure should take TWO hours... When my service did start, instead of soaking off my old gel polish she drilled & filed all of it off while nicking my skin multiple times. While the staff was friendly to clients, my nail tech was consistently snapping at the other staff members and it became a bit off-putting while I tried to relax. My nail tech had incredible attention to detail and I left with amazing cuticles (minus a few nicks) but my actual polish was not even and clearly looked like it was applied in too many directions.
