Salem Hair Cutters

I had a shampoo, haircut and blow dry this morning at Salem Hair Cutters. After my last experience with a hairdresser that didn't go so well, it was nice to have a hairdresser listen to what I wanted and do an amazing  job. Still not sure if I would like to have more layers but that's on me. Joanna did a great job and I really love it. I forgot to mention that I was extremely grateful for the ramp out front which made it easier for me to access the salon seeing as I have mobility issues. I highly recommend if you want a haircut to go here and I will definitely be coming back.

I get my 8-year-old son's hair cut by Tricia at Salem Hair Cutters exclusively & have been for a few years now. He is autistic & can't deal with the buzzer noise or water sprayed on him, so most stylists are a no-go. But Tricia manages to cut his hair nicely without buzzers or spraying water on his head. She explains to him what she's doing when he feels the backside of the scissors touch his neck and reassures him that nothing will hurt him. The last time we went there, my son was not happy about it as he begrudgingly walked in with a grumpy lil attitude but Tricia had him smiling by the time it was over. He said "That wasn't so bad" as we walked out the door. His hair looked great & we could see his beautiful blue eyes again, so I was happy too. Plus, the price was reasonable for a kids hair cut. We have no experience with other stylists at Salem Hair Cutters so I can't say anything about anyone else there, but I can definitely recommend the place & Tricia the stylist there to anyone

I’ve been coming here for the last 4 years. From every color to every cut they have done an amazing job with all my crazy requests. Not only is this salon affordable, each stylist is extremely friendly and definitely knows their craft. As a college student, this is the perfect place right around the corner from Salem State. Definitely check it out!
