I have been coming her for almost 5 years and I will not go anywhere else. Allison and her team are absolutely amazing. I was very cautious during COVID as many people are - they have been following ALLL cdc and Boston guidelines and the salon is so clean and safe. Do yourself a favor and go treat yourself! Wanted to love this place in hopes of coming every so often for a spray tan but did not have a pleasant experience. As soon as I walked in I did not feel welcome. At a professional business (especially one where staff interact with people constantly) you would think staff would at least be polite, but not here. When I went up to the front desk to check in the girl behind the desk was not friendly at all. Also, as I was checking out I was attempting to send Alex a tip via Venmo but my phone was giving me problems. I felt the receptionist staring at me so I apologized and explained the situation but all she said was "You can go now, have a nice day" like I was being a bother. There was also a hair dresser near me as I walked in the door and she looked right at me without saying anything. I sat down, and a few minutes later Alex came out to get me. She was so sweet and friendly. My spray tan on the other hand did not come out well at all. It was blotchy and streaky. I ended up calling a

If I could give 0 stars, I most definitely would. I came to Salon 44 for an updo with Allison and as soon as I walked into the door I didn’t feel welcomed at all. There was not even a simple “hello, how are you?” Allison was running a few minutes late with seating me in the chair, which I didn’t mind, but when I finally sat down she asked me what we were doing today and I responded with an updo, and she said “an updo? I don’t even really do those anymore why would they book me for an updo.” So I’m like???? She starts curling my hair and then I ask if she needed to put heat protectant spray in my hair and she responded with a smart remark: “well how am I supposed to curl your hair if it’s wet? People think I just twirl my fingers and it can turn into that”(referring to the pictures I showed her for ideas of an updo).
