I got my first gel manicure here for a work need where I had to demo with my hands. While my nails appeared fine aesthetically, I had a painful experience. They filed my nails so short I was in pain. I had asked for short nails but not so short that my finger tips were exposed which is what I got. When I asked them to stop she said she had to match the shortest nail (which had broken earlier that day). Even worse they filed down the sides of my nails. I’d say the worst part though was the drill which burned my nails and caused rings of fire. Following this experience I went to Milk and Honey in Brentwood for a manicure and they were appalled by my fingers and felt so bad. They said the drill should not burn nor is needed for gel. They weren’t even able to treat my nails with anything got her than a gentle file and nail strengthener. If you go in, be assertive about what you do not want and be careful of the drill.
