Excellent experience. I was visiting Long Beach and needed to spend a few hours in the area before my appointment. Look for a Salon in the area and based on the reviews I selected this place. It was great, Rich is polite and very skill. My daughter also got a haircut (photo) and was happy with the results. The place is clean and the area appears to be safe. Highly recommended. I was in desperate need of a haircut and searched yelp/google reviews because I am not super familiar with the Long Beach area. As I was just looking to get a trim, I did not want to go to a super expensive place that would charge me $90 just for a cut. Lo and behold I stumbled upon Richie and CL Salon. I was skeptical at first--this isn't your high end spa salon that spends more on décor than the quality of their stylists. Richie is a one man show and he is soooo worth it. I showed him pictures and he got to work. He asked if I wanted him to shampoo/condition my hair but told me he prefers to do dry cuts. With the texture of my hair, I couldn't have agreed more. He does hair like he is painting a work of art. When I told him I wanted little fringy bangs, he was honest with me and told me it would look better with more side curtain bangs. I was so nervous. So unsure. I was emotionally in a difficult place because of relationship things and needed someone to help me... with my hair.. to try something new.. with self care. I had been neglecting my hair and taking care of others for so long. Ritchie spoke to me on the phone and asked me to come in for a consultation.. he needed to see what he was working with to be honest with me about color, cut and prices. I was impressed by that. I learned that he js so caring, attentive and skilled. he had a cold water bottle for me, knew how to fix my color and tired dried hair.He got me the right shampoo and conditioner and is there to help when I'm tired or stressed.. He is a master stylist and is such a nice person. No one I would rather have to take care of my hair! Prices are more than reasonable as well. Please let him help you if you have a style need!
