My new forever salon and stylist! Online booking is easy and you can select a stylist based on what you're looking for and budget. Cute space. Obsesssssssed with my stylist Jenna!! She fixed my grown out highlights and gave me the exact cut and color I asked for. She also recommended rosemary oil treatments for thinning spots and what shampoo would be better for my texture and color. Not to mention she was so fun to talk to and hang with while sitting there for 3 hours. 5 stars isn't enough.

Today I got my hair cut, colored, and styled by Gavin. I don't even live in California but stayed in San Marcos in May/June and decided to give Station Salon a try at that time. I was happy that they were open on Sunday and that Gavin was available. He did such a great job on my hair that I went to him again today because I'm back in San Marcos, only temporarily. I gave him a picture of a hairstyle I like; he colored, cut, and styled my hair, and it looks fantastic. He also has a nice personality, which helps if you're spending more than 2 hours with someone. Gavin is one of the best hairdressers I've ever had, and I have lived in some major cities: Chicago (for 26 years), Austin, Tokyo, and Madrid. Thank you, Gavin. I went back a week later, and Gavin highlighted my hair. The highlights are subtle and look good with the color. He also tinted my eyebrows (honestly the best tinting I've ever had). Highly recommend Jen L. You can consider her a talented blond specialist, highly skilled, creative, collaborative, meticulous and in vogue. I had a fabulous first appointment here since moving to Encinitas and am thrilled to have found Jen. I would have been in much sooner but the salon website lacks information or the feature of stylists' bios and specialties, the products the individual stylists use or sell and fee menu, something I always rely on in selecting top salon and stylist when I'm in a new area. Despite this, I took a chance and I phoned the salon and relied on reception to guide me to a blond specialist here and Jen was recommended. This is the type of salon anyone would enjoy spending time in - uncrowded, buoyant welcoming personalities, happy chatter, interesting architectural features, lots of light, high ceiling, breezy fresh air with open front door overlooking intersection on 101.
