This was my second attempt to use salon Milano for a haircut. I went last year, and the girls over textured my hair, making it look stringy and sick. The manager kindly fixed it. I thought I'd try again, because I really want to go somewhere I can walk to. There was a new girl this year. I wanted my same haircut with a trim; it took her almost an hour. She made super small adjustments here, there, silently and fastidiously trimming my hair. I felt like she was too scared to cut it. Then she blew it out into a style completely different from the one I asked for - I never use products or blow my hair. She never showed me the back. What this tells me is that this salon has high turnover and limited or no mentorship, and it's not getting better anytime soon.
