8th Day Nails - Kirkland

This was my first time here and I had a great experience! Teresa did my manicure - full set with gel. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was able to replicate it exactly. Sophia did my pedicure and she did a fantastic job. Both were very thorough and fun to talk to. The salon was clean and everyone was welcoming. I was able to book online, which is a huge plus for me, and I got a discount for being a first time customer! I will definitely be back. To the owners/manager of the Kirkland location: When your tech doesn’t do a good job applying the polish and the customer comes back the very next day to ask to fix the job that was supposed to be done in the first place - don’t charge them $35 on top of the original $65 price for the botched job. I chose to remove the polish altogether and had new one applied, but that’s my choice at this point. I wouldn’t have had to come back if the original job was done right. I appreciate the $15 discount, but this is not about the discount. This isn’t even about the money. It’s about the attitude towards the customer. Now, for these $20 that I paid you today, you lost 2 returning customers (~$300 monthly revenue) who actually liked your place and your techs. Things happen, the tech was in a rush etc. that’s not a deal breaker for me. You charging me again without a word of apology or at least heads up about the charge is. In fact, it’s simply insulting. I’ve been to this salon twice in the past month and my gel manicure has been phenomenal each time. I had a different technician for each mani. The salon is clean and everyone I’ve encountered has been friendly. Reasonably priced. Even though this isn’t near home, I’ll continue to come back. Looking forward to trying a pedicure here next time. Great color selection, though not a lot of greens.
