I had my first experience at Matthew Robert's today, with Matthew. I intuitively trusted him and because I did, I walked out with hair that I love. I have long hair and he styled it beautifully. I made an appointment for February- I feel home. I highly, highly recommend this wonderful, comfortable salon!!

I recently visited here for a Deva Curl cut and unfortunately my experience was far from satisfactory. I had high expectations, especially as a new client but I left feeling disappointed and frustrated with the overall service. To begin with the deva curl cut is for 1 hour and 30 minutes (I understand it changes with the type of hair), which I assumed would allow ample time for a thorough and attentive curly cut. However it felt like the stylist was in a rush after the cut was done. After the cut it seemed like she was more focused on moving through the process quickly rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. The styling process was rushed as well. It felt as if the stylist was trying to complete my service as swiftly as possible so she could move on to another customer. The worst part while hair wash was the stylist's nails scratching my scalp rigorously causing discomfort and pain. She was rough throughout the washing process and it made me feel quite uneasy. I love this salon, it’s great and the hairstylists here are very passionate about their job. But I am a bit disappointed in the scheduling…my appointment got cancelled because the hairstylist I requested was sick. That’s very understandable and this isn’t about that. Rescheduling was extremely hard. I booked this specific appointment 1-2 months in advance, planned out transportation and leaving school early for this appointment. I also moved some doctors appointments around. And then I was told the only time available was a couple days before my special event at a time I can’t do because of school. Asked about other stylists because I’m pretty anxious at this point and was told everyone is booked till June. Fml. Now I’m kinda left scrambling about what to do Service: Haircut
