Amy Nails

I had been a long time faithful client at the shop, normally getting a gel service. One of the techs talked me into a dip technique and quoted me a price that ended up being 15.00 higher once completed. The nails were uneven and thick and began peeling three days after I had the service. I was so frustrated because I work with the public that I did not go back for almost a year. I decided to go back again 9 days ago and take my daughter for her birthday, this was the first time she was getting a full set of nails on. Within 7 days her nails began lifting, water was getting underneath and I had to take her to another shop to get them corrected. The owner at the other shop inquired if these were done at home because the job was done so poorly. My nails were thick, not shaped and there were jagged under edges. Nice and accommodating staff. I asked a for a gel set, then before anything started I asked if I could get ombre acrylic instead. Unfortunately the first technician I had didn't do acrylic ombre so she seemed upset that she wouldn't get my service. I had no idea switching style would mean switching artists. The artist who did my nails did a good job and was very detailed. I only paid 55$ for the set which I thought was reasonable.

My friend and I stopped in to get pedis. The lady who did mine was good however the gel that I paid extra to get is peeling off a week later. For $45 I would think gel would last more than 9 days. My friend had a horrible experience. She had at home gel on her toes that just requires nail polish remover for removal. However the lady used a drill and took half the skin off of her toes. Then proceeds to pour alcohol on them. Her toes looked like a child painted them. She told the lady she was not happy with them but nothing was said or done. She went to pay and they charged an extra $5 to use the drill. Needless to say we will not be back.
