I love this place. It truly feels like walking into a comfortable home where people are warm and welcoming. I know my time is respected and I won't be kept waiting forever and a day, though I do try to fit in a couple of their great cookies before I jump in the chair. Everyone at Brush Strokes is always doing some kind of continuing advanced education. They take the time to master their craft and it shows in their work. Not every stylist does that. What I love most about Brush Strokes is Melodie because she knows your hair is more than just your hair. When I started seeing her over a year ago my hair was seriously damaged from an nutritional deficit. Over time Melodie nursed my hair back to health and it's done wonders for my self-image. We've even taken my hair style in a direction I'd never have considered before. That could only happen with a stylist I trust and I trust Melodie. You'll love this place too. I am SO glad I found Brush Strokes Salon. Mary did an incredible job! I walked in with years of dark box dye on my natural honey brown hair, asking for her to return my hair to it’s natural state! Color corrections take hours, so I was there for almost 8. The time flew by, and Mary made sure every piece was tended to, to make it even. It came out better than I could have hoped- my fiancé has never seen me with my natural hair and said “it’s just so you!” Mary, you were such a delight! Thank you so much. I've been coming to Brush Strokes for several years now and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. It's difficult to find a salon with the kind of specialized experience needed to cut naturally curly hair, but I could tell almost immediately that I had found the right place. I've continued to learn so much from my stylist /owner (Mary), and it's abundantly clear that she genuinely cares about her clients and her employees. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
