I loved Mel so much! She was absolutely gentle on my hair and gave so much education about taking care of your hair. I loved how my hair came out. I will definitely be back to see Ms. Mel :)

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went in asking for a cut, protein treatment, and color. Melva told me I could not have a color because my hair had previously been damaged BEFORE she even looked at my hair. She went on about how she was a professional and pretty much.... what she said goes. Even after advising that the damaged hair had been cut off and all that was left was healthy Natural hair, she stated that she wouldn't dye it and when she did it would be a Semi-permanent. I asked her about hair stains (Manic Panic/Arctic Fox) That just cover the gray. I had used them in the past and wanted to know if that was more feasible than a Semi-permanent. She looked upset that I questioned her about hair stains. She then took me to the sink to wash my hair and DUG HER NAILS into my head. It left sores in my head that I am still trying to heal. She then started putting something in my hair that I thought was the protein treatment, that I later found out was HAIR COLOR. She did not me the color

Since visiting the first time, I went back and the person who did my hair was no longer there. Ms. Marva and her staff made my experience a wonderful one, and I received excellent service. I am upgrading my rating to 4 stars. Former review: I took my girls to get crochet installs and it went well. I would give the salon about 4 stars for that visit. On the second visit, about a month later, I took my oldest daughter for a visit. We arrived about 30 minutes early, just because I was in the area.
