It’s a pleasure to write this review, as Koni was so great with my girls! This was their first professional hair cut and Vanity did not disappoint!! The girls loved it. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!
This is a hard review. Koni does great hair styling. Has great conversations during your visit, but I’m not sure who you have to be to get a second appointment. I tried for 3 weeks to contact her to get my style redone. It wasn’t until Tuesday of the 3rd week that she answers the phone and told me to send a text to the number I was speaking to her on and let her know the time date and style I was looking for. So I did that. It wasn’t until 2 days later that she texted back saying that date wasn’t available and asked if I could do 2 weeks after that. I thanked her and told her my hair had already been done. These are all facts. Just because you’ve been on Oprah doesn’t give you the right to schedule when you want. The customer is paying not the other way around. Black owned, woman owned. Do better.
DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR PEOPLE GETTING LOCS. I wish i could give no stars. Booked with the owner Koni who by no means is a loctician but was hoping for the best as she is an experienced hairstylist. Upon arrival, girl comes out and says she is going to wash my hair until Koni gets there as she had to run an errand. I let her know my scalp is sensitive and dries easily so anytime i get a wash we use a dandruff type of shampoo. The girl stated Koni would take care of that during the retwist.. first red flag. After washing my hair, i thought she was just separating my hair to make it easier/faster for when Koni got there as she still havent arrived yet but then i begin to feel so much tension. The washer who commented that she doesnt know hair is doing my hair!! At this point, i dont feel like i have an option as i deliver any day. Ive had locs for almost 2 yrs and have never had my retwists SO tight. Never added any moisture or oil or anything. I told her i would be willing to wait as im ve
