Awful Customer Experience - No Flexibility I’m a working professional in downtown Pittsburgh, scheduled a last minute appointment that was available two hours before the appointed time. I then had an urgent work call come up, and informed the salon of my need to move the appointment to later in the day / the next week. I was told there was going to be a $60 cancellation fee…as if the appointment was likely to be taken by another client even though it was booked only two hours in advance. I could understand the charge if there was a need to truly cancel instead of rebook or if the appointment was booked 2 weeks in advance, but not 2 hours. If you have a busy schedule, I highly recommend other salons downtown that work to provide an exceptional client experience instead of generating incremental revenue through unfair fees.

Updated (2023): my second time with Sonoma and I absolutely love the haircut and style I got. She is attentive and made sure to do the haircut exactly as I asked for. I am a super picky person about my hair, and have a sensitive scalp; she made sure to manage the hair with low heat and very smoothly. They have a strict cancellation policy (u pay 50% if cancel in less than 24 hr), but honestly I do not mind, considering that I have been always satisfied with the service I received here. I would come back 100%!!! 2019: I love my haircut with Sonoma. She is very good! the Salon is nice and clean and staff are friendly. It's on a pricy side but to me haircut is a very special thing :) Service: Haircut
