I’ve been going to American Mortals for over a year and always leave happy with a great cut and color from Katie Baker. Katie makes you feel comfortable and builds trust with you so that you never feel nervous about trying something new (if you want) or making you feel confident with just getting ‘the usual.’ Her attention to detail comes thru in everything she does. The shop overall is also amazing- friendly and helpful staff, fun vibe, and amazing customer service, too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great spot to get your next ‘look’ in center city! If you have curly hair, stick to Kylie. She is incredible and gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten. I'll definitely go back here for her. I went back for a bang trim, and Kylie wasn't available, so they gave me another stylist. She changed the shape of my haircut by creating new bangs over already existing ones and made them far too short, so now I have to pin my hair back and can't wear it the way Kylie cut it until it grows out.

Brendan was warm and friendly, knowledgeable about curly hair, and very attentive to my comfort level and desired style. I really enjoyed my fun and affirming experience and my hair looks and feels so pretty thanks to Brendan’s expertise! I’m very happy and will be back. Services: Haircut, Hairstyling
