This place is horrible and my dumb self gave them two tries. The first time I left them blow my hair out. I know it's a braid shop but they said they do it and they charged me 60 for it. She dropped the iron on my scalp. Why? Cause she was busy running her mouth and not watching what she was doing. I tried to be understanding about it and kept it cool for the remainder of the time. The second time I went there was to get twist or braids in. My hair is cry fine and thin these days due to chemo, but it's doable in terms of braids or twist. She was extremely inpatient and rude to me. I kept asking her for suggestions because I didn't want to get something to heavy for my hair type and have it fall out or cause my hair to break off. She had me go thru a book of hairstyles. After abut five minutes she got angry with me for taking to long to decide on something. Wonderful salon and wonderful people. They are great with kids and the prices are great too. Everyone knows getting braids is not a quick process but there's always positive vibes and I've never left disappointed.

OH MY GOSH, the WORST experience ever! On Tuesday my daughter and myself go to Miriam's shop personally to make the appointment. My daughter shows Miriam a picture of the style she wants and my daughter's hair was in its natural state so Miriam knew exactly what type of texture of hair she would be braiding. On Wednesday Miriam calls to confirm the appointment. On Thursday the day of the appointment Miriam calls to say she is running late. I dropped my daughter off at her scheduled appointment time (10a.m) letting Miriam know that my daughter has orientation for high school at 3:30. Miriam assured me that my daughters hair would be done by then. At 12:30 my daughter calls me telling me that Miriam stopped braiding her hair to do someone else's hair and that she doesn't think she'll be done by 3:30.
