Gervais Day Spa & Salon An Aveda Salon

Prices have gone up and service has gone done. Been using Gervais for about 15 years and sad to say, not going back. Last time we paid for a deep tissue massage. Tom started off ok in the beginning, asked how it was? Said it was good and then it turned into more of a tickle. I've always preferred this place because you had the choice to use the sauna and shower after. This last time we did a pedi and then an hour massage. One girl was learning so the pedi lacked a lot. Then when we finished and headed for the massages, they didn't do the soaking and foot care so we missed out on the full massage experience they normally do . After, we were not offered the robes, slippers sauna or even the shower and had to wipe down with a towel. Tom did better after we mentioned the tickle massage. Said we may do another 90 minute next time w a deep tissue. Unfortunately he said he most likely couldn't to a deep tissue that long. My sister and I came in for a pedicure, and honestly I’m so disappointed with the experience. It started out with waiting almost 30 minutes beyond our appointment time, in a salon that has no waiting area. The ladies who helped us were wonderful and did the best they could with what they were given. They were the only highlight in an experience I refuse to repeat. If I’m paying more than $50 for a pedicure I expect you to have actual pedicure chairs with foot baths. Instead we had to stick our feet in cheap plastic tubs, with lukewarm water. It was also a lovely warm sunny day in Medford, which we were enjoying until we were shown the upstairs corner where manis & pedis are done. It felt like there was no AC and in the hour it took for our service it got very warm and uncomfortable.

Been going to Geny for awhile, this was my first time going to her at this salon. She is so great and the atmosphere of this salon was amazing. From the get go I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone was so friendly. Can't wait to go back!
