Having curly ethnic hair can be a huge challenge for anyone who isn't familiar with how to cut and style it. I managed to get terrible haircuts for years until I went to Portugal and had a wonderful cut that fit my face for the first time ever. So when I sought a curly cut for myself, the only studios around were in Portland and very expensive, with months of wait lists just to get a consultation! Went to Tanya nad had the best haircut EVER. She explained how she would cut my hair to frame my face, since curly hair needs specific cuts unlike straight hair. Recommended great products to help moisturize my hair. Went back for highlights and I was literally getting stopped on the street for months after asking where I got my hair cut! (I'm telling you us curly gals are limited in where we trust our hair!) My three girls also go there for cuts too and have pretty straight hair, so it's amazing that we can go to the same place , and get such amazing cuts. Not many stylist can do both,

Due to the fact that I am ageing, coloring my hair can be quite a challenge! Salon 14 was recommended to me by a friend. I am extremely happy with the grey coverage as well as the highlights. Tanya was very professional and has a beautiful spirit. Her prices are were more than fair! She served delicious hot coffee and our conversation was warm. Beautiful experience, and I will be going back!
