New Beginning Salon Spa

I went in a couple weeks ago as an older transwoman needing a femme haircut, and Jordan gave me a wonderful cut that I can wear multiple ways--and she gave me some helpful tips too! Everyone there was very kind and welcoming. The facility is clean and relaxing with a nice large water feature in the middle of the room. It was a delightful experience, and it didn't take long either. Y'all have my gratitude. When I can afford it and need a new do, this is at the top of my list of places to go nearby. Apologies for the delay in posting this. :)

I requested full head highlights. All I got was a couple of highlight patches all over. So much of my original black hair is totally untouched. Honestly it does not look like I did anything different to my hair from before. Also the color was wrong, I ended up with patches of ash instead of honey blond. I showed images of exactly what I wanted before she began. The hair stylist did not own up to her mistake even with me asking her throughout the process on why she was not adding highlights to the majority of my head. She just kept saying she would add more color for rest during wash, which was weird. I spent 300 dollars, hard earned money. Owner did not apologize or offered refund or redo. She did not seem to care about her own business. Receptionist was the only professional one that actually apologized and helped. She was also the one who advised to speak to the owner, with hope some good would come of it. Aveda partners have been amazing through the many years I have been with them.

Jordan is the sweetest. She is so warm and friendly that I immediately felt at ease. We agreed on a plan and she executed like a pro. I walked out with gorgeous layers and conditioner she helped me select and used on my hair so I knew what it would feel like. I found this place by typing “haircut near me” and really lucked out!
