Badlands Hair Studio

I enjoyed the experience at the salon and everyone was friendly. However, my stylist spent about 15 minutes cutting my hair and the rest of my hour and 15 minute appointment washing and styling. I said that my hair does not hold curls and showed photos of a blow dry and she spent about 20 minutes curling my hair after a blow dry. It was frustrating and hard to tell her to stop when I realized what was happening, I realize I should have stopped her but I was confused as to why she was doing it and at that point she had already started. I also realized about a week later when I was pulling my hair into a pony and pulled out some face framing pieces when I noticed they were not even in length or amount of hair and I have a middle part which doesn’t change. Overall not a great experience and result for how costly it was and I have heard similar experiences from this salon when I asked around for other salons. Honestly probably one of the best hair salon experiences I’ve ever had! I went to a salon at the old mill and unfortunately got a bad cut. Badlands had me all fixed within an HOUR of my bad experience. They offered me water and tea immediately making me feel so welcomed. Wendy was apprenticing under the owner and both together worked on my hair to turn my frown upside down. I honestly don’t have words for how good they made me feel!

I called Wednesday for a same day drop in, they had me in that evening. I was paired with Corey. She was very attentive, as I described my hairs attitude and the fact, I had been whacking on it! She fixed me for now and it needs to grow out a bit. I'll be back. The place itself was upbeat, a fresh layout, enthusiastic and very friendly.
