Avalon Salon & Spa Aveda

This was my first time at an Aveda salon. I needed to book an appt from afar for when I returned and just wanted to book online for ease and simplicity. That was accomplished! I wasn't sure what my experience would be like, but when I initially entered the shop, I didn't get that warm welcome I was hoping for. I am not a wealthy person, I wear simple, practical clothing, and I needed a haircut. I am a person who made an appointment to pay for a service just like anyone else. I was not greeted right away; I awkwardly lingered near the front desk while I waited to be acknowledged and check in for my appointment. Kelly was my stylist and she was fabulous. We had a lovely conversation while getting my hair cut. She was open to the images I showed of what I was looking for and she was realistic with what my hair needed. When I went to check out and pay for my haircut, the energy had shifted at the reception desk to a much friendlier vibe. I was welcomed for being a first time custom

David did my hair and it turned out absolutely amazing. I went from black hair to a platinum blonde which is very hard to get right. When I’ve tried this in the past I could never get the results I wanted. But David was able to do this transformation beautifully. He was also patient and so kind during the process. 10/10.

I received an incredible haircut by Katie. She listened to me, and checked in with me multiple times throughout my haircut to make sure it was meeting my needs. Will be back again to schedule with Katie! Super friendly front desk staff.
