I seldom take to platforms like Yelp to share my experiences, but today's ordeal at Xcellent beauty salon was deeply distressing, and I feel potential customers should be aware. I visited this salon with the hope of correcting a DIY bleach job on my roots, which turned out orange. While I accepted their recommendation of a keratin treatment due to the damage, my primary request was for a baby pink tone with a very subtle shadow root. Despite having level 11 white hair with just half a centimeter of orange roots, I was shocked when I got home to find half of my hair turned dark brown instead of the desired baby pink. The toner application was hastily done in just two minutes, without the careful attention that my hair clearly needed. Feeling utterly devastated, I took the initiative to drive two hours from Long Island to consult the owner, seeking a solution. I had even coordinated the timing to ensure she would be available. Came here for balayage and couldn’t be happier! This is now the only place I trust with getting the right color. The style is to have a more bleached look (less color) framing your face (which I didn’t love on myself but I’ve seen other girls look good with it) and they were happy to fix it for me. Love this salon!! I
