They are pretty overpriced for Harlem… or in general. I ended up having to change my hair the next day. It didn’t last very long. I was looking for a new place in NYC so i tried them out. but since then have realized through other salons that they really are over priced for jobs you can get done much better somewhere else and for less.

I got a silk press here in December. I waited to post my review until i saw how my hair health was after the silk press. It was my first time putting heat on my hair in over 8 years. I came in like 10 mins before my appointment time and they saw me right away. I love how my hair came out! It reverted back after I washed it so I know they were careful with my hair. That was the biggest factor for me...it's one thing for it to look nice, but it is important that our natural curls are not compromised. The pictures below will show my silk press and also my curls after. I was so surprised at how much shorter my hair was when it reverted back because I got a trim, but it was so much healthier! I had a great experience.
