Joe (the owner) is the best hairstylist in New York! He added my tape in hair extensions today and I couldn’t be happier. His blow drys are immaculate as well! Joe and his wife are the sweetest. I have been here before with no problem. I made an appointment yesterday, made an effort to come today and was asked to come back in 2 hours-no problem.. they’re busy I have time. Went all the way to Forest Hills. I come back 2 hours later as agreed,park and am told he can’t do my hair????? I ordered Uber eats after he seated me so now I have to wait outside for my dinner. Then I wanted to talk to the stylists wife who booked the appointment. He asked her to come out of the room so I chimed in, yes come out to which he said Get out of my salon???!!! I’m a nice person and retired first responder. I try to be responsible and communicative. Unfortunately that’s not the case with this business. They could have called at any point today or in the 2 hours I gave them to tell me that they can’t do my hair. I like to keep my commitments. Unfortunately they don’t. Joe who runs this salon is really nice and did a great job on my daughter's haircut. BUT one of the women there was AWFUL to me and yelled at me because we didn't want our daughter's hair to be fully washed. It was 45 minutes after our appt, And she'd washed her hair that morning. For her to be yelling at me because I asked to just wet her hair instead of full washing again?? TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
