The Rockin' Roller Salon

This place used to be the best salon in the city, certainly the best I'd ever been to. But the lockdown changed Rockin' Roller bigtime. Scheduling is a hassle and it takes days to get an appointment. Don't bother calling either, nobody picks up half the time. A barber pressured me into canceling today and I see that as big deal. Why put that on the customer? Why not just cancel on me instead? Why should I have to choose between missing my own appointment and getting a haircut from an unwell barber? It honestly would've been fine if I could reschedule or squeeze in an appointment with another barber. But I wasn't offered that. I was offered one timeslot on an inconvenient day. I loved this place. But no business should treat their customers like that. Service: Haircut

I had a great experience with McKay. She was so nice and did a great job on my hair. I went in and asked for my hair to be fully blonde. I have attached a photo of how amazing it looks! I was so happy with the services. Awesome price, very nice people, & now my hair is perfect ! She also cut it perfectly. McKay made me feel like a princess today. I am graduating next month, so excited for photos! My hair was dark blonde/light brown. Look how much she lightened it!! Amazing, and to top it off my hair also feels so smooth!

Literally the WORST experience ever. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I wish I would have done more homework on this salon before I went. My husband and I are moving to Wilmington in a couple of months and during one of our visits to the city I decided to try a salon out so I could hopefully find somewhere that I could get my hair done once we move. I used to go to Rockin' Roller when I was in college at UNCW and Tracy (who is no longer at the salon) always did my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it and was super talented with coloring my hair however I wanted it. I figured the rest of the stylists at this salon would be of the same caliber, but boy was I wrong. I reached out about getting an appointment and whomever it was that scheduled me put me with Sasha. Sasha as a person is so sweet and so easy to talk to. But I didn't go to the salon for good conversation. I asked for balayage with dark brown and carmel/blonde. The pictures you see here are the result. Not to mention that they charged me $165
