Convenient location for downtown residents. I frequently have appointments with Stacy Wilson at Tres Hair Spa located in this complex of independent hair designer/boutiques. Love Stacy! She is a talented and gifted colorist and knows her way with scissors. Competitive prices--but service far shadows price. If you are looking for a rofessional hair stylist who cares and delivers--I recommend Stacy Wilson at 111 Seaboard Avenue.

I visited Jennifer at Uncommon Salon. She was great. Great haircut. Great price. Very nice. The Sola Salon layout was confusing at first. Basically, each room is an individual stylist of some kind and most require appointments. While some of the stylists occasionally accept walk-ins, I got the impression that you would have to get pretty lucky to just walk in and find someone able to take you right then. Seems like a lot of the stylists there probably have a loyal customer base that prevents the need for many one offs. As soon as you walk in, there is a display on the wall with business cards for each salon. They are numbered so it's easy to tell which one is which. There were several empty slots, which I took to mean they were not accepting new clients. Either way, it was kinda confusing/intimidating to a guy who's new to the area looking for a "not-$5" haircut, but I'm glad ran into Jennifer. She was great and I have already scheduled multiple future appointments.
