I went in for a cut last week because I wanted help on what would be the best look for me. Their website has a clear mission statement that made me believe I would get a professional consultation and frank advice. I sent an appointment request via the site's web form and mentioned what I was looking for, and then I received a follow up survey where I also stated what I was looking for. I don't think anything I wrote was passed on to the stylist. What was the point of filling all that out? When I got there, she made some quick assessments, noted that I have very nice thick hair and a good amount of wave/curl, and said I wouldn't want to cut it all off. She was clearly experienced and it seemed like she knew just what to do, but by the time she was done, my hair looked the same as it did before.
