I walked into Aveda today to get my eyebrows waxed. The two ladies began going back and forth if the wax was warm enough and one lady said she didn’t feel comfortable waxing me with the wax. The second lady reassured me it was fine and the second lady chimed in that she just wasn’t trained with that kind of wax. Okay cool. The lady starts waxing me and it doesn’t hurt so I think okay cool. Then she hands me the mirror and she is taking the shape away and not doing a proper clean up on my eyebrows after saying it looks great. I still had hair below my arch and it did not look clean so she started SHAVING underneath. I was taken back but was like maybe this is a part of her process. Afterwards, she was done and it looked like nothing had been done. I asked her to simply stop and she said I didn’t have to pay because my makeup was causing the issue. The owner I Yang (Nina) just gave me the BEST haircut. It is the first good haircut I have had since relocating to the area 9 months ago. She is a skilled artist, worked with my direction and fixed my last cut. I knew I was in good hands! The salon is vert attractive, clean and spacious. And they follow all COVID protocols.
