Carmen! Carmen! Prestige Salon Northlake (AVEDA + Rewards Salon)

Lea is incredible. I moved to Mooresville from NY 2 years ago and I started with another salon. They were fine but when Covid hit, they were not careful. I switched to Carmen Carmen and it was the BEST decision. My color has never looked better. In the past, most colorists would dye me super blonde then tone my color to give it a more natural hue. Within 2 weeks my hair looked white. Lea explained that it is better for my hair to simply dye it the color I want. It seems so logical. As a result, my hair is healthier and my color looks the same from the first day until the last. I am so happy I found her! Service: Hairstyling

Very disappointed that with the changing times this salon tailors to Caucasian customer base. When I called to confirm the selected stylist could do natural hair I was told that we would need to change our booking to a later time slot so it would not run into another customers time. Although that definitely seemed that they were tailoring for others I agreed as I do know that they would be doing thick and long hair. They should have a slot indicating natural hair so that you have the opportunity to book based on times available for that particular service rather than their discretion. Additionally their should be the option to book a relaxer online instead of the service being request only. If black hair is relaxed or natural the services through CarmenCarmen is tailored to a white customer base. Such a shame for lack of diversity but also losing out on potential business.

Zee Lawson did my hair today for my first visit to Carmen Carmen. I was very pleased with her professional expertise. She did my hair exactly like the picture I showed her. The scalp massage was AWESOME! Going back next week for highlights to blend my gray roots. Looking forward to my next visit! Service: Hairstyling
