Hair Refinery

(Using my husbands account) I’ve debated posting a review, but as someone who just moved to the area and is trying to find a salon to call home, I thought it would be helpful to others in the same boat. I first scheduled an appointment with Mikayla using the online scheduling system. I arrived 10 min early and was told she was out but would be right back. I waited over 30 min and she never showed up. The receptionist was very apologetic and helped me reschedule my appointment with a different stylist. I would have just gone to another salon but I had already spent a lot of time researching salons and just really needed my haircut. He got me an appointment with Carmen for the next week. Carmen was nice but I was in and out in about 20 min. This might be a perk for some but to me I felt rushed and like she didn’t want to be there. I only got a simple haircut, so I know it doesn’t take long but I’ve always been at a salon for 30min+. I’m frustrated I had to miss work and reschedule my day

I am so nervous about going to new places to get my hair done. I’m from Burlington but have lived in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill and have stuck with Kealy as my hair stylist through all the moves over the last 4 years. By far the best and you can trust her with all of your hair goals and dreams!! The salon is also a great/cute atmosphere, makes you feel right at home, and even has jewelry/hair products/little gifts you can buy for your loved ones or yourself!

I went to see Hannah for a facial and a brow/lash tint (two separate services), most recently. I have been seeing her for years! Her personality is professional, her touch is gentle and relaxing, and she is VERY knowledgeable in skin care. The facial I received this time was the ‘Farmers Market’ facial. IT. WAS. AMAZING. I have very sensitive skin and Hannah was always sure to make certain that I wasn’t experiencing any discomfort or irritation. I felt like my skin was glowing when I left the salon! Not to mention how relaxed I felt! When I got my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted she was very understanding of my reservations and was able to explain to me what she would be doing and how to make the tinting gentle and not super severe (I am fair skinned and fair haired). She was able to tint my lashes and brows just enough to make them noticeable, but not overwhelming and they lasted for a little over a month. They were perfect! I definitely will continue to see her for routine facials and
