Posh KC Blow Dry Bar

I booked Posh KC for my bridal hair and makeup, as well as bridesmaids, family and flower girls. Everyone's hair and makeup was awesome - my updo and makeup lasted all night without budging and looked perfect in photos. We were the only group at the salon that morning and could bring in our own coffee, breakfast and even stuff for mimosas. Thanks Posh for starting my wedding day out right!

I had my wedding reception in Kansas City, and my friend and I had appointments for hair and makeup. I had hair and makeup, she had only makeup. PROS: Alida did my hair and did an AMAZING job. My hair is kind of tricky to deal with (especially my bangs) and she took her time making sure everything was perfect. What’s pretty miraculous is that it was a pretty humid day in KC, and my hair held throughout the night and even looked great the next day. I hate when special event hair is crunchy from all the product, but it was soft and natural. Rachel did my makeup, and perfectly recreated the look I showed her on Pinterest. I’m Asian, so a lot of makeup artists do eye makeup on me that doesn’t suit my eye shape, but Rachel worked with what I had and it looked amazing. My makeup looked great in real life AND photos. Kianna did my hair. I am natural and I wanted my hair washed and conditioned and blow dried and braided into straight backs so my hair could go under my wigs and protective styles. Kianna was super nice and did a great job. Everybody in the shop was nice and offered me water and champagne. Kianna was on time (she was actually early because I was early too lol). She was quick and was accustomed to working with natural, Black American hair. She braided me up well and I was on my way! The only thing I would do differently is bring my own blow dry cream because I don't think the one the blow dry bar has on hand is suitable for Black hair based on how much elbow grease it took to comb through my hair to get it braided.
