I was initially pleased with the result of my experience, despite my hair not looking like what I asked for. After a day or so, washing and styling my hair how I normally do, I fully realized how far off the result was from what I asked for. I asked for baby lights not touching the roots to brighten the top, and to maintain length. I ended up with highlights to the scalp and a weirdly small amount of hair from underneath left longer than the rest, with boxy layers. I reached out to the salon to see if anything could be done, and never heard back. I spent almost $400 for a partial highlight and haircut only to add highlights and fix the cut myself at home, losing inches of length to make it look less weird. I won’t return. I double checked all my emails after seeing this reply. I received no response after initially reaching out. I’d be glad to discuss the matter privately, if given a response I can reply to directly.

Did a total transformation with Annie, going from long heavier locks to setting my natural curly texture free with a shag. I was VERY anxious to do a big chop and had never had a “curly cut” but Annie patiently listened to all my ideas and questions, explaining what she was doing and why as she worked and gently encouraging me, including getting another honest opinion and feedback from the owner when we were both trying to decide on bang length - I love that she was open to opinions and conversation around a major change! I really appreciated Annie’s honesty and gentle, more conservative process with me taking such a big step and I now have a fantastic haircut that feels like the REAL me. I arrived late to my appointment, feeling a bit frazzled, but Camille immediately put me at ease by embracing my chaos. I’m really pleased with how she gave my previously lifeless hair new body and volume. The services are quite expensive - similar to what I’ve paid in other large cities (New York, Boston, and San Francisco), but it is an expense I’ll happily pay for happy hair. In total, a haircut, styling cream, & 25% tip was $165.
