I highly recommend this place. I called and asked for an appointment for TODAY and got one for only two hours later. Even on the phone — the owner, Paula — had such kind energy. I just combed my locs out and needed the big chop!!! A relaxer (haven’t had one in 11 years), black dye, and a pixie cut. I actually had an appt for somewhere else for tomorrow but when I told them I needed a pixie cut and a perm, I was told they don’t do those. So, I searched on google for a stylist that specializes in pixie cuts and to my surprise, found an entire salon dedicated to them!! Even though — they also do everything else. Natural hair and perms. Locs and weaves. Women and men. Anyways — the moment I arrived, I was offered coffee, tea, or mimosa ( I love that!!) by Paula’s husband. I didn’t even know this was a married couple until I decided to go on their website while sitting under the dryer and I LOVE that. I felt like I was in the right place. I recently had the pleasure of getting a big chop from Netta, and I couldn't be happier with the results! As an African American woman, finding a stylist who understands our unique hair needs can be challenging, but Perfect Pixie (to include their front desk team member), Netta, and stylists are truly gems. From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Netta took the time to consult with me about my hair goals and concerns, and I could tell she was genuinely invested in helping me achieve the look I wanted. The big chop can be a nerve-wracking experience, but Netta put me at ease with her expertise and professionalism. The mimosa helped too! (LOL) She executed the cut flawlessly, and I immediately fell in love with my new look.
