sharing my wife's experience: very disappointed today after going to this salon for 5 years. Went in for a partial balayage that they scheduled with a colorist . The colorist was ranked as a senior Level 4 expert in balayage . She spent less than 10 mins on my prep and had me sit with my bleached strands for 40 mins. She originally told me she would be back in 15 mins. She attended to atleast 2-3 other clients at that time . The guest services employee proceeded to apply the color/toner , wash and condition my hair, and blow dry my hair. Mind you, this studio charges you more to see their more "experienced" colorists. Perhap, it's the guest service's lack of experience that gave me a balayage look that was 10 times lighter than what I requested . I requested a mocha color and my strands turned out light blonde . The colorist said they used the wrong toner and so they would go back and try to darken it . They ended up just returning me to my original hair color with zero balayage effect

Must resubmit my review they do not honor appointments made with specific stylists. Today my youngest got a horrible hair cut from Nicole. We did not made an appointment with her. This is Absolutely unacceptable. The lines are not even straight I guess she felt sleep on the job or something. The whole family used to go here and paid 75$ per haircut for our 2 teenage boys. There is no chance of us coming back. I am absolutely sure we will get the same service if not a better one at any barbershop in town. The plus will be the $$$ we will save. I recommend to stay away. **Alex knows his stuff and inspires confidence, does a great job with highlights and hair cut. I’m a huge fan and the entire family comes here for hair cut :)

Today was my first time at Bella Bethesda and I had an amazing experience, the staff was so friendly and there was a really comfortable happy atmosphere. Consuelo did a beautiful job and I’ve never been so happy with the result! I’ll definitely be returning to Consuelo’s chair next time I get my hair done! Service: Hair highlighting
